The Lubavitcher Rebbe instituted the Shifra U'Puah organization ​in Kfar Chabad in 5737 to help new mothers with all their post-partum needs. In 2010 the founders of Shifra U'Puah Crown Heights noticed a need in our community for new mothers who did not have emotional, physical, and mental support after giving birth. The Organization began helping new mothers by delivering nutritious hot breakfasts daily, offering cleaning help, supplying babysitting services, and so much more! In the years since, Shifra U'Puah has grown to become an Organization that new mothers depend on, supporting as many as 1,000 new mothers EACH YEAR!
