Doula Services

Shifra and Puah of Crown Heights, just like the original Shifra and Puah who helped Jewish women give birth in Mitzrayim, is now partially subsidizing doula services for women who need them. The doula gives the mother emotional and physical support during the birth and is in tune with the needs of the mother.

Shifra and Puah’s Doula Program is specifically designed to support women who would otherwise not be able to afford a doula. Additionally, many of the doulas who join this initiative are reducing their fees to support the cause. Shifra & Puah Doulas will be available on rotation and when you go into labor, we will assign a doula to support you.

To request a doula via Shifra & Puah, please complete the form below and a Shifra and Puah member will be in touch with you. Early sign up will allow us to find you a doula, as our volunteers could be limited without advance notice. Looking forward to helping you have a positive, supportive birth experience!
